Description
A Memon water level float switch that automatically detects the water level in a tank or sump and signals a pump to switch on or off, preventing tanks from overflowing or pumps from running dry.
Key Features & Benefits:
- Buoyant float mechanism triggers an electrical switch at set water levels
- Simple two-wire connection to pump or control panel
- Corrosion-resistant housing suitable for water tanks and sumps
- Reduces manual monitoring and protects pumps from dry-running damage
Primary Application:
Fitted in water storage tanks, boreholes, and sump pits to automate pump control for domestic, commercial, and borehole water systems.
Correct installation is straightforward: the float is normally suspended by its cable at the desired trigger depth inside the tank, borehole chamber, or sump, with enough free cable length for the float to rise and fall without snagging on tank walls or fittings. Because the switch works purely on buoyancy, it needs no power of its own and can be wired directly into a pump's control circuit or a relay panel for more complex setups with multiple float points, such as a low-level cut-off paired with a high-level cut-in. Routine checks should confirm the float still moves freely and the cable insulation is intact, since a stuck float is the most common cause of a tank overflowing or a pump running dry and burning out. It is a low-cost way to add reliable, automatic protection to almost any water system.
